We are working on the soundtrack release of ‘Cliffs of Freedom’ the historical drama I scored starring Christopher Plummer and Billy Zane. Here is a short snippet from the recordings. The score has a classic epic orchestral approach with a modern sensibility. The film will be released in March 2019.

Scores for 3 Short films
Something that I didn’t do a lot last year was find the time to score short films between my feature work. This autumn I scored 3 amazing but very different films and a medley of the music can be found here: Nurse Helen Fairchild: An Americana score on an amazing film about the heroic nurse who served and died during World War I. Endangered: Working with VFX extraordinaire Efram Potelle on the heart-pounding sci-fi /horror short ‘Endangered’! Sh’hab: A world music/orchestral score about a girl growing up in the Middle East who wants to see more to life through finding a falling star! Great to use some ethnic instruments like the oud and ney on this one!
Recipient of the Jerry Goldsmith Award and the IFMCA award George Kallis is considered “one of the most exciting and talented composers to emerge in the film music world” (Movie Music UK).
George has just finished the score for the biopic sports drama ‘Lev Yashin’ about the superstar goalkeeper, and the black comedy ‘Gutterbee’, directed by Ulrich Thomsen. His previous score was ‘Cliffs of Freedom’, starring Christopher Plummer and Billy Zane, which received positive reviews and award nominations.
Previously he scored Disney’ live-action fantasy ‘The Last Warrior’, winning the Jerry Goldsmith, the award for Best Music for a Feature Film, and the family adventure ‘Albion The Enchanted Stallion’ starring John Cleese, Debra Messing, and Jennifer Morrison that earned him the ‘Breakthrough Composer of the Year’ award at the International Film Music Critics Awards.
